The UHP-T-MP series of Ultra High Power LEDs, by Prizmatix, feature a powerful rectangular (3:4) homogeneous collimated beam useful in many demanding applications such as direct microplate illumination without a light guide, fluorescence microscopy and machine vision.
Optimal illumination of standard 96 well microplates from a working distance of about 40 cm is realised by its aspheric optics, and the USB-equipped LED controller supports CW or pulsed operation via a TTL trigger. LED intensity can be set via a pot or external analogue voltage input.
The UHP-T-MP is available in blue – 455 nm, green – 528 nm or red – 630 nm wavelengths, and can be used coupled to an optical fibre or liquid light guide, or just as a collimated light source.

The Elliot Scientific April newsletter is now available. In this issue we say hello to Prizmatix as we begin distributing their exciting range of ultra high power LED illumination systems and modular optical components for microscopy, optogenetics, and biochemistry; we will also be saying hello to visitors at the Oxford Day of Photonics, RoadVista customers at Traffex in Birmingham, and from the Autex booth at OPIE in Japan; plus the International Year of Light, FEMTOOPTICS, and more…
