Elliot Scientific exhibiting at CMQM in St. Andrews this week

The new CMQM conference, taking place at St. Andrews University, provides the UK’s Condensed Matter Physics community to present and discuss their research results in specialised disciplines, superconductivity, magnetism, organic photovoltaics, polaritons and light-matter interactions among others.
For just two days of this three day event, July 3rd and 4th, we will be exhibiting our range of materials characterisation equipment. If you are attending the conference, or are a physics student at the university, we look forward to meeting you.
Tomorrow is a SUPA day for us

Wednesday, May 10th, is SUPA day! An annual gathering celebrating Scottish physics taking place at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh.
SUPA – the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance – comprises the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot Watt, St. Andrews, Strathclyde and West of Scotland; plus associate members Fraunhofer UK, UKATC, PHYESTA and IMPP.
Elliot Scientific will be at the supplier exhibition that runs concurrent with the talks and presentations.
SU2P Symposium at St. Andrews next week

In 2010 the first Annual SU2P Symposium took place and was highly successful. Elliot Scientific will be attending the Sixth Annual SU2P Symposium, which will be held next week on the 23rd and 24th March 2015 at The University of St. Andrews.
The Symposium includes an exceptional list of speakers from around the world who will present leading edge research and industrial exploitation over a wide range of photonics and related topics.
Attendees will enjoy the very best in new photonics, international networking, and have the opportunity to see some of the products Elliot Scientific offers. We look forward to seeing you there.
☼ News from Old Elliot’s Almanac: A partial eclipse of the Sun will be visible across the UK on Friday, March 20th, during the morning.
March 2015 Newsletter Out Now
The Elliot Scientific March newsletter is now available. In this issue we hear about the new colorPol® polariser brochures from CODIXX, see how spectroscopy and Atom Optics’ science benefit from Photodigm Laser Diodes, feel the emphasis Micro Laser Systems put on diffraction limited circular beams, get a taste of a superior solution from CRAIC Technologies for analytical challenges, and almost smell the sea air as we visit the SU2P Symposium in Dundee next week, plus the International Year of Light and more…

Elliot Scientific to attend SU2P Symposium at Heriot-Watt University

Following the highly successful First and Second Annual SU2P Symposia, Elliot Scientific is pleased to announce that we will be attending the Third Annual SU2P Symposium to be held on the 23rd and 24th April 2012 at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
The Symposium includes an exceptional list of speakers from around the world who will present leading edge research and industrial exploitation over a wide range of photonics and related topics.
Attendees will enjoy the very best in new photonics, international networking, and have the opportunity to see some of the equipment Elliot Scientific offers.
The SU2P project is a three-year venture between six institutions that focuses on:
- Biophotonics, including stem cell imaging and neuroscience photonics
- Solar cell devices and characterisation
- Integrated photonics
- Solid-state laser engineering and nonlinear optics
- Photonics sensors (including atom and quantum optic sensors)
- Environmental science and technology
We look forward to seeing you there.
