Siskiyou add to IXF range with single axis platforms and mounts

Siskiyou Corporation continually develop their popular series of IXF mounts, the latest additions being single axis platforms and mirror mounts.

Mirror Mounts
The new IXF SA series single axis mirror mounts for optics in the 12.7 to 50.8 mm (½” to 2″) diameter range for OEMs. A variety of mounting configurations are available, including bulkhead placement with either front or rear (through the bulkhead) adjustment options, making the mounts particularly useful for space constrained applications. The mounts are currently available in both steel and aluminium versions.

Platforms
Two IXF-based platforms, each containing an arrangement of both threaded and clearance M4 (or 8-32) holes on both sides, are now available. The IXF.05S is a single-axis ½” square flexure with one M4 (8-32) tapped hole for mounting, as well as one on the top for attachment. The IXF1.0S is a larger 1″ square version with seven tapped and two counterbored holes.

Aluminium, stainless or nickel-plated steel
The IXF series offer exceptional stability at a low price point. Performance is achieved through the use of monolithic flexure construction, in which the entire mount – both plates and springs – are fabricated from a single piece of aluminium, stainless or nickel-plated steel.

Steel construction offers superior mechanical and thermal stability, while aluminium confers lower weight and vacuum compatibility.

We’re in Yokohama next week: visit us at OPIE’17

Elliot Scientific is demonstrating Optical Tweezers and our range of precision positioning systems – from ultra-small slides to the Elliot Gold Series XYZ Flexure Stages – at OPIE’17, Yokohama.

Organised by the Laser Society of Japan, this technology exhibition is the largest laser related tradeshow in the country, enabling researchers and industry to discover the trends in nano- and macro-laser processing, optical communications, biotechnology and nano technology.

We will be joining our Japanese distributor Autex in Booth E-2 at the show, which takes place from April 19th to 21st at the Pacifico Yokohama.

New DSP50 Multiphase Linear Stage from mechOnics

The new mechOnics DSP50 linear stage, designed for the latest generation of NOVA-controllers, can handle up to 16 N blocking force over a travel range of 10 mm.

In conjunction with its specialist multi-phase controller, the stage can operate at a speed of up to 1 mm/s and offer an extremely uniform movement due to the use of multiple piezo inertia drives.

The linear stage is available as a single, dual or three-axis positioning system with a precision of 1 nm and high repeatability courtesy of its optical movement sensor. A vacuum ready model is available to order.

The outstanding precision and very compact design offers advantages in many applications, so do contact us for more details about this or other mechOnics products.

The “World’s Most Accurate” Capacitance Bridges are from Andeen-Hagerling

Andeen-Hagerling AH2700A Capacitance Bridge Test Instrument

Andeen-Hagerling manufacture the world’s most accurate capacitance bridges and standards, and their AH 2700 models offer unparalleled stability, resolution, linearity and accuracy in a multi-frequency capacitance/loss bridges.
Andeen-Hagerling AH2700A Capacitance Bridge Test Instrument
The numerous state-of-the-art features of the AH2700 make it an exceptionally user-friendly instrument, with unmatched precision that enables it to open up new applications in calibration, manufacturing and scientific research.

The AH2700 is the culmination of over 40 years of Andeen-Hagerling experience in bridge design and manufacture. The unique ratio transformer and the temperature-controlled, fused-silica capacitance standard make the instrument a true bridge for measuring highly accurate capacitance/loss figures which are independent of the exact test frequency (50 Hz – 20 kHz) and immune to mechanical shock.
