Elliot Scientific now representing Digital Holographic Microscopy company Lyncée Tec SA

Elliot Scientific has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Lyncée Tec SA, of Lausanne in Switzerland, to distribute and support their range of holographic microscopes based on the revolutionary patented Digital Holographic Microscope (DHM®) technology.

DHM® are 3D optical profilometers characterised by an unrivalled high measurement rate and a very short exposure time. These unique features make possible applications not conceivable using white light interferometers and confocal microscopes: 3D topography measurements in presence of environmental vibration or of intrinsic sample vibration, sample characterization in cryogenic and high temperature environments, large area screening, and analysis of the deformation dynamics of samples due to external stimuli such as temperature and pressure changes, light irradiance, mechanical force, or electromagnetic fields.

In life sciences, DHM® enables label-free non-invasive millisecond to multi-days continuous measurement of cells. Quantitative phase measurements provide quantitative information about cell morphology and intracellular content, cell proliferation and viability, trans-membrane ionic currents and water transport among others.

“We are excited to work with Elliot Scientific, an innovative company with a highly qualified staff that will provide the highest levels of service and knowledge. DHM® are complementary to Elliot’s product line.” said Dr. Yves Emery, CEO of Lyncée Tec. “This agreement enables us to provide high quality products, services, as well as scientific and technological support.”

ICEC27-ICMC 2018 opens next week. Meet Lake Shore on the exhibition days.

The International Cryogenic Engineering (ICEC) and Materials (ICMC) Conferences are taking place in Oxford from September 3rd to the 7th.

ICEC27-ICMC 2018, to give it its correct name, also includes two days of exhibition for cryogenic related businesses. Accordingly, our good friends from Lake Shore Cryotronics will be flying in from Columbus, Ohio, to be on hand to talk about their extensive range of products for research in low temperature big and little physics, materials and superconductivity, cryobiology and more.

As Elliot Scientific supplies Lake Shore products within the UK and Ireland, our Dr Perry will also be on hand to assist with any enquiries on the Tuesday and Wednesday (5th & 6th September).

Both the conference and Lake Shore are celebrating 50th anniversaries this year. It is fifty years since ICEC was first held in this country, and also fifty years since Lake Shore manufactured its first product.
