We’re at the SU2P Symposium in Glasgow today only
Elliot Scientific is exhibiting at the Ninth Annual SU2P Symposium today only, May 21st, at Strathclyde University, Glasgow.
The two-day Symposium, which concludes tomorrow, includes an exceptional list of speakers from around the world who will present leading edge research and industrial exploitation over a wide range of photonics and related topics. For example, sessions will discuss quantum photonics, optogenetics, and lasers in technology.
Attendees will enjoy the very best in new photonics, international networking, and have the opportunity to see some of the products Elliot Scientific offers from this afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there.
Tomorrow is a SUPA day for us

Wednesday, May 10th, is SUPA day! An annual gathering celebrating Scottish physics taking place at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh.
SUPA – the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance – comprises the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot Watt, St. Andrews, Strathclyde and West of Scotland; plus associate members Fraunhofer UK, UKATC, PHYESTA and IMPP.
Elliot Scientific will be at the supplier exhibition that runs concurrent with the talks and presentations.
Next week, we’re exhibiting at Magnetism 2017 and SU2P

April is lining up to be a very busy month for Elliot Scientific as we are exhibiting at four events.
Magnetism 2017: 3rd and 4th April
Next Monday and Tuesday, we will be at the University of York for Magnetism 2017 for a mixture of invited talkers and submitted contributions exploring the breadth of magnetism research in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Subjects will include spintronics, domain walls, dynamics, vortices, skyrmions, spin ice, biological and organic magnetism, superconductors, magnetocalorics and more.
SU2P: 5th and 6th April
Then on Wednesday and Thursday we are at Heriot Watt University for SU2P where world class speakers will present and challenge the delegates on innovation, research and exploitation over a wide range of photonics-related topics.
Later in April we are abroad, in Japan for OPIE, and then the Republic of Ireland for INTERMAG.
For one day only this week: The Photonex Roadshow Scotland

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Photonex Roadshow returns to Edinburgh and the city’s Heriot-Watt University for a special one-day event. June 8th will see the UK’s top photonics technology suppliers, leading researchers and invited speakers gathered together for the second time this year.
Elliot Scientific will be on table S1, among the dozens of companies dedicated to optics, photonics and imaging technology, thus allowing you to view the latest in our photonics solutions, optical components, instruments and systems.
Photonics is an enabling technology, so you can only really find out how a company can help you in your work by face-to-face contact. Elliot Scientific’s Solution Science is more than just a slogan, it’s our approach to providing the tools and equipment you need to get the results you want. Come and talk to us about your project.
SU2P Symposium at Edinburgh next week
Elliot Scientific will be attending the Seventh Annual SU2P Symposium next week on the 4th and 5th of April 2016 at The University of Edinburgh – the venue being the South Hall Complex at Pollok Halls.
The Symposium includes an exceptional list of speakers from around the world who will present leading edge research and industrial exploitation over a wide range of photonics and related topics. For example, sessions will discuss health, energy and the environment, and optical data communications.
Attendees will enjoy the very best in new photonics, international networking, and have the opportunity to see some of the products Elliot Scientific offers. We look forward to seeing you there.
SU2P Symposium at St. Andrews next week

In 2010 the first Annual SU2P Symposium took place and was highly successful. Elliot Scientific will be attending the Sixth Annual SU2P Symposium, which will be held next week on the 23rd and 24th March 2015 at The University of St. Andrews.
The Symposium includes an exceptional list of speakers from around the world who will present leading edge research and industrial exploitation over a wide range of photonics and related topics.
Attendees will enjoy the very best in new photonics, international networking, and have the opportunity to see some of the products Elliot Scientific offers. We look forward to seeing you there.
☼ News from Old Elliot’s Almanac: A partial eclipse of the Sun will be visible across the UK on Friday, March 20th, during the morning.
For one day only next week: The Photonex Roadshow Scotland

The Photonex Roadshow starts next month in Edinburgh, bringing together the UK’s top photonics technology suppliers, leading researchers and invited speakers for a very special one-day event on June 4th at Heriot-Watt University.
Elliot Scientific will be among the 25 companies dedicated to optics, photonics and imaging technology, allowing you to view the latest photonics solutions, optical components, instruments and systems, as well as join in a conference all about the latest techniques and applications.
Photonics is an enabling technology, so you can only really find out how a company can help you in your work by face-to-face contact. Elliot Scientific’s Solution Science is more than just a slogan, it’s our approach to providing the tools and equipment you need to get the results you want. Come and talk to us about your project.
The technical conference is entitled Advances in photonic tools and techniques for the life sciences, and is being overseen by Dr Chris Dunsby from Imperial College London, Dr Pete Tomlins from Queen Mary, University of London, Dr Ilias Tachtsidis from University College London, and Dr Pierre Mahou from the University of Cambridge.
Principal guest speaker will be Prof. Dr. Graeme Whyte, Engineering Advanced Materials, University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), who will be giving a presentation entitled: ‘Optical traps for single cell tomography’.
