New Green Diode Laser for the more demanding application

Micro Laser Systems (µLS) has introduced a high stability green diode laser with diffraction limited performance for more demanding applications. These include: confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, fluorescence excitation, particle analysis, direct laser writing and metrology.

This new laser in the Lepton IV OEM series delivers a circular Gaussian beam with high output stability, has a low power requirement, and is built into a smaller package size when compared to typical Argon and diode pumped lasers. Output power is up to 40 mW and can be continuous wave, pulsed, or modulated, while the low wavefront error allows for the generation of micron and  sub-micron spots sizes, or the production of a large clean beam for illumination.

The OEM units are available with or without temperature control – depending on your application – and are provided with numerous threaded mounting holes for secure installation.

Micro Laser Systems offer Stabilised Free Space Lasers and Fibre Collimators

Micro Laser Systems offer their OEM range of high performance Lepton IV free space lasers in both standard and wavelength stabilised versions. The modules are ideal for existing and new applications in a variety of fields such as microscopy, spectroscopy, material characterisation and analysis, scanners and sensors, correlators, interferometers, microlithography, reprographics, flow cytometry, ophthalmology, dermatology, atomic clocks, laser pumps, and telecoms.

Over 30 different laser wavelengths are available with diffraction-limited circular Gaussian beams ranging from 1 mm to 6 mm in diameter, and single transverse and longitudinal modes. Wavelengths range from 375 to 1600 nm, and powers up to 150 mW are available.

Fibre collimators  are of increasing importance to the company’s product line-up.  The FC Series of collimators are designed specifically for singlemode fibre, polarisation maintaining fibre and fibre laser applications that can generate a pure Gaussian beam. Aperture sizes from 5 to 45 mm are available with a very clean output and no diffraction patterns or beam distortions. The output stays Gaussian no matter the distance and the adjustable output is ideal for tuning the desired wavelength to the best collimation.

Three wavelength regions cover from 375 to 2000 nm for use with Ar, YAG, Ti-Sapphire, HeNe, DPSS, and any commercially available fibre coupled diode laser.

AKELA Laser Corporation introduces new Configurable Modules plus powerful Red, NIR, and IR Diodes

AKELA Laser Corporation has released single and multi-channel laser diode modules in wavelengths from 635 to 1950 nm, part of a phased introduction of a new range for 2013.

The laser diode modules, designed for 0.22 na 100, 200 and 400 micron fibres – or free space use – and providing up to 25 Watts CW power, are ideal for research and development.

Equipped with integrated cooling and drive electronics for plug-and-play use, the modules are available in the following configurations: single channel; multi-channel with independently addressable outputs; and multiple outputs controlled by a single driver.

Configurable Laser Module

This new unit from AKELA is the most versatile and configurable diode laser module on the market today. With its individually addressable emitters, the module can operate at up to five wavelengths from one fibre, making it convenient for use in R&D settings. It fits standard high-power thermoelectric  systems, making integration easier, and meets stringent industrial and medical requirements.

Further development of these new modules will offer increasingly higher power levels as well as built-in accessories such as photodetectors, aiming beams, blast shields, and fibre sensors.

Recent product additions from Micro Laser Systems have resulted in expanded and revised product pages on our website. Five new wavelengths for the OEM range of Lepton IV free space lasers and the introduction of wavelength stabilised versions of some of  these high performance modules ensure that this manufacturer is constantly ensuring its products are ready for existing and new applications in a variety of fields.
