Elliot Scientific will be attending the biennial meeting of the British Biophysical Society in July at Collingwood College – Durham University. The title of this years’ event is “Biophysics at All Scales” and we will be demonstrating a range of equipment in support of that concept including:
- Laser Tweezer Systems for Optical Trapping
- Nano-positioning Systems, precision slides and stages
- Illumination Systems – lamps and lasers
The meeting will feature an exciting programme of poster sessions and two parallel scientific sessions across a wide range of biophysical areas and techniques:
- Dynamics of Molecules & Cells
- Membrane Lipid and Proteins
- Metals in Biology
- Biophysics Beyond the Cell
The dates for you diary are July 11th to 13th and we look forward to seeing you there.
The 11th ECONOS Conference and 31st CARS workshop will be held in Aberdeen in July and Elliot Scientific will be attending.
These annual meetings are devoted to different issues in the rapidly expanding field of nonlinear optical spectroscopy and Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering, discussing theoretical and experimental studies as well as applications in:
- Biomedical Research
The conference and exhibition runs from July 8th to 11th and we look forward to seeing you there.
This year’s event, at the San Diego Convention Center, promises to be one of the largest meetings of the Society to date, with over 6,000 biophysicists from all around the world.
Elliot Scientific will be demonstrating a laser tweezer system designed for the optical trapping of micron-sized or smaller neutral particles, as well as our range of precision miniature slides and XYZ flexure stages for the manipulation of biological structures in the lifesciences.
